new posts lately, and this is the reason (see photo above)
I had wrist surgery nearly two weeks ago
and have to wear this cast for another six weeks,
so give me a good couple of months and maybe
I will get to make some cakes..............hopefully!!!
Thank you for taking the time in stopping by! :o)
Oh no! Hope that the surgery fixed things for you.
ReplyDeleteOh, Nicky.. I´m very so sorry for your injured arm! Hope you will be feeling better soon..
ReplyDeleteNicky, I hope the surgery went well, and that you're feeling better (and back to caking!) soon!
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing! I hope you are feeling better- you need to come back and inspire me some more :) I just started baking and am trying new things because of you! Could you tell me please where do you get your cutters and embossers from? I can't find any that I like, and I have spent HOURS looking.. Send any info to girltrader2003@yahoo.com. Anyway, please feel better soon!

So sorry about your arm! There is nothing worse when you can't do the things you normally do.
ReplyDeleteYour creations are just amazing! I hope you can get back to your art ASAP!
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Hallo, Nicky!
ReplyDeleteI have seen in Flickr that your arm is healing, I wish you total recovary soon and returning to your blog!
Always read your blog with great interest and I admire your art of cooking & baking!
Friendly hugs & congratulation!
Thank you so much Donna, and Dimitrana it is healing very nicely but it is pretty weak at the moment so I am hoping it will be much better for my son's Birthday in July so I can make his cake, again thanks for the kind words and being a great Blogger/Flickr friend :o)
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog today and you have some amazing creations. I would love to know where you get your embossers and cutters :) Anyways, I am also a certified hand therapist by profession so I was more interested when I saw that you have a hand/wrist injury. You might want to try using a scar gel sheet to apply over the scar- it'll help a lot to make it softer. Good luck and can't wait until you start baking again!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a speedy recovery... it's been a while hasn't it! I miss your gorgeous creations. See you soon! =)
ReplyDeleteMary Ann........thanks for the tip!!! and as for the embossers just look in the online cake equipment stores, as long as you just use them for cake making there are some beautiful stamps & mats in craft stores too!
ReplyDeleteMarian.........thanks also! my wrist has really started to feel much better this week, so hopefully I will be back with some cakes very soon....ish!
I just found your blog and I'm SO sorry to hear about your arm! Your cakes are so very cute! I hope you get well - I don't know what I would if I went that long without decorating a cake!
