Cupcakes For Friends

Myself and Will are going to see friends, so our boys can go and play,

so I am going armed with cupcakes & wine...yum!

These are vanilla sponge cupcakes with buttercream and a circle of fondant,

decorated with a triple flower blossom, fondant swirls and silver balls!

After I had finished these I thought they would make lovely wedding cupcakes!

For the first time in ages I haven't usedb any lustre dust what so ever!!!

Silver & White Petit Four

A rich chocolate sponge
covered in dark chocolate ganache laced with Tia Maria......yum!!!
White non pareils are sprinkled all over,
decorated with a small bloom and sprayed entirely with pearl lustre
which gave it a rich silver look!

A mini, tall cake covered in dusky pink fondant and decorated with a white double flower. A great way to use up cake left overs, cut with a round cutter and spread a light layer of buttercream all over, and cover with fondant. It's a little bumpy but good enough to eat! :o)

Acoustic.......(Guitar Cake)

My first attempt at a guitar cake,
I really enjoyed making this and I was pretty pleased with how it turned out,
as was the lovely lady who ordered it.
It was a little fiddley and time consuming but I would do another in a heart beat!

Fantasy Flower on Jade

Thought I would try my new flower cutters out,
and have a go with some white flowers,
and I really like them.
I am loving this jade green, such a pretty colour!

Valentine Cupcakes

After dropping the fairytale cookies off at school yesterday, Will's teacher asked if I could do her some Valentine style cupcakes for a dinner party she is going to, obviously I said yes and I came up with this design. She was very pleased when she came to collect them........thank goodness!!!
Vanilla cupcakes with Rose water buttercream covered with a circle of embossed fondant and pearl lustre, topped with a single, handmade, fondant heart in red & gold.

Little Gem

I love this Blingy little cupcake.
A regular size cupcake with a good dollop of buttercream

it's not exact but I think it's quite quaint!....Hope she likes it!
The house is made up of four layers of vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream

Whimsical Lilac Cupcake #2

Same as the last but this time not quite so 3D looking,
as the leaves here are lying flatter against the cupcake
and also I have used a silver cake case .........
and I think it works better this colour!

Fresh as a Daisy

This regular sized cupcake has been covered
with lashings of Rose Water Buttercream
and decorated with
fresh looking fondant daisies with non pariels for their centres.

A "Thank You" gift

These were made as a thank you to a friend who has helped me out
while I had to visit the hospital.
Vanilla sponge cupcakes with swirls of rosewater buttercream
and topped with hearts & flower chocolates
with decorative chocolate transfers.
Vanilla sponge cupcake with Chocolate Ganache swirls
(my first attempt at making ganache!)
and topped with a single Pink Blossom made of fondant.

Faerie Flowers Cupcake

Any little Tinkerbell fan would love this cupcake topped with sweet flowers
with faerie dust sprinkled all over. Unfortunately I didn't have any edable glitter,
only the Magic Sparkles Flakes,
so I ground them down a little and....
daa-daaaa!!!!!......
faerie dust!!!

Black in Bloom

This is very simular to my "Cupcake in Bloom" design,
which I loved!
I went a little mad with the embossing, but hey!

Bazaar!

Love....The Sweetest Kind!

The title corny I know!!
An embossed blanket of fondant is placed on a buttercream
topped cupcake and dusted with Mother of pearl lustre.
Decorated with two fondant hearts and
lightly dusted again with the lustre.

Delicate

The title says it all.
This one was made because the design was in my head and I had to do it,
I wouldn't make this as an order,
as I was surprised it made it to the next room to get photographed without breaking,
although it has set quite solid.......but travelling? a big NO-NO!!!
I love the way this one looks...so fragile.

Frosted

With it being so cold and frosty out at the moment I thought I
would frost up a cupcake with silver dust!
As usual, decoration made out of fondant, and left
to completely dry
then covered in a dusting of edible silver.

Laura Ashley Inspired #2

Laura Ashley inspired cupcake #2
Green fondant stem/tendrils swirled around the top of a blanket of fondant,
with little leaves and an embossed,
red, three petal flower placed in the centre

Laura Ashley Inspired

I was totally inspired by the gorgeous fabric designs from Laura Ashley
and thought if I took some elements from them,
they would look beautiful on cupcakes!
So this is the first one I have made and hopefully,
some other designs will follow!!

30 Penguins (all handmade from fondant) toppers for cupcakes

seemed to like them.

Snow Cookies

I made these cookies
and decorated them simular to the Snowflake Christmas Cake (see below)

The cookies are butter crunch cookies, covered in a circle of white fondant
and decorated with snowflakes and royal icing beads of snow.
